Come meet LVMC’s newest staff member – a 5-foot-tall computerized mobile robot. LVMC is now designated as an “Acute stroke Ready Hospital.” In collaboration with Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, LVMC now provides patients with 24/7 access to neurological consults, via the use of a telemedicine robot.

Come learn about symptoms of Stroke and hear from Dr. Thomas J. Clark, Regional Stroke Director of the Stroke and Neurovascular Center of Central California and Yvette Cope, LVMC Assistant Nurse Executive and telemedicine project coordinator.

Come and hear about the requirements and de nitions of the End of Life Option Act. Hear about the act’s legislative history and how the options can be accessed. Learn how to speak with your doctor about the law, and learn about other advance directive options. The Lompoc Hospital Foundation's annual re-occuring Health Lecture Series is starting back up this fall with some very informative and helpful lecutres. On October 15, our very own Dr. Naishadh Buch, Pharm.D. will be presenting a lecure on pharmacistis increasing role in patient's healthcare. And on November 5th Donna Beal
 will be speaking about Alzheimer's and other related diseases.

What’s new in joint replacement and arthritis will be presented by the Lompoc Hospital Foundation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 19 in the Ocean’s Seven Cafe inside the Lompoc Valley Medical Center, 1515 E, Ocean Ave. in Lompoc.

The lecture will be presented by Dr. Robert Fry, an orthopedic specialist with Sansum Clinic. Refreshments will be provided. The lecture is free of charge.

Fry will provide an update on non-operative and operative treatments for osteoarthritis affecting the knee, hip and shoulder.
